Transparent, Honest Pricing
We believe families deserve to know exactly what they’re paying for. Our pricing structure is straightforward, and we’re happy to discuss all expected costs with you during your initial consultation.
We operate as an independent live-in care introduction service, introducing experienced self-employed carers to families who require live-in support.
Our subscription starts from €899/month, including 3+ carer introductions across your first 6 months, with further introductions arranged as needed after that. A one-off introduction is also available for €1,200. In both cases, the carer’s own weekly fee — typically from around €840/week — is agreed directly between the family and the carer, and paid directly to them.
More complex arrangements, including complex care or advanced dementia, are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may affect the carer’s fee.
Families should also budget for normal household costs associated with having a live-in carer, including food and meals, heating, electricity and other ordinary household expenses.
Any additional costs, such as a carer’s specialist certification requirements or exceptional travel, will be discussed with the family in advance.

In both cases, the carer is directly engaged by the family, and the carer’s agreed fee is paid directly to them. Our fee covers carer vetting — including confirming appropriate, up-to-date training and qualifications — and facilitating the introduction.
HOUSEHOLD COSTS
Additional Household Expenses
Families should also budget for normal household running costs, as the carer lives in the home:
- Food and meals for the carer
- Electricity and heating
- General household expenses
These costs are separate from Circadian’s fees.

HOW WE COMPARE
Understanding the Value
When comparing live-in care with other care options, it’s worth considering what’s included in the advertised price, and whether the arrangement covers the full seven days.
Residential care in Ireland can cost approximately €1,500 per week or more, depending on the home and the type of accommodation provided. For many families, live-in care — with one-to-one support in the familiar surroundings of home — remains a cost-effective alternative.
How the Fees Work
We offer families a choice between a one-off introduction and our ongoing subscription.
A one-off introduction may suit families who simply need an initial introduction to a suitable carer. For most live-in care arrangements, though, we recommend the subscription — live-in care is an ongoing arrangement, and carers may need time away for holidays, rest, illness or other periods of unavailability. With an ongoing subscription, families retain access to our carer network and, when requested, we help them identify available carers as circumstances change. One introduction isn’t the end of the service.
The family remains responsible for its relationship with the carers it engages. Circadian’s role is to provide introductions, information about carer availability, and ongoing support — without directing or managing the care itself.
TAX RELIEF
Are There Tax Benefits?
Families in Ireland may be eligible for tax relief on certain qualifying home care expenses, at their standard or higher rate of income tax (currently 20% or 40%), depending on their individual circumstances.
Tax treatment can vary, so we recommend speaking with your accountant or contacting Revenue directly for the most up-to-date information. We’re happy to point families towards the relevant information.
